Freedom Highway (1956)
In honor of Memorial Day, I present to you this short patriotic film (about 30 min.).
Freedom Highway shows a nation in need of spiritual and patriotic renewal, and as we'll see, this renewal is to be sought in our past.
A Greyhound bus transports us through the landscape of American mythology in this entertaining "story of America".
You'll meet an unusual group of travelers on this cross-country bus trip. Fred Schroder, embittered by the death of his son in Korea, is riding to Washington to accept a posthumous Congressional Medal of Honor on the son's behalf. Jimmy Rollins, the Boy Scout, is heading to Washington for his first Jamboree. Love interest is supplied by Mary (a young Angie Dickinson) and Bill Roberts, a football hero on the make. Tex Ritter, playing himself, takes a short ride on the bus as it passes through Texas, singing about the Alamo and the "freedom road." Most important of all, a black-suited mysterious stranger (Marshall Thompson) appears, as if from nowhere, to transform the outlook of the passengers.
There are a lot of families whose lives are forever changed by men who gave everything for us.

They deserve our respect.

Right Wing Extremists- Tea Party Exposed
Hopefully, I shall get back on track with my normal bogging routine soon.In the mean time, here's a little multimedia Tea Party project from my associate N.C. (not to be confused with M.C., with whom I attended a Connecticut Tea Party on Wednesday.).
I will preface the video with N.C.'s original intro (excuse the spelling and grammatical errors, for that is not his forte) :
If you watched foxnews last night you would think a patriotic revolution had started in an attempt to save what is left of this republic.
If you watched CNN, except for one delusional report from some idiot woman who seemed to miss the whole point, you would not know there were any protests at all.
And if you watched MSNBC for some strange reason, especially that dude rachel maddow, you would think there was a klan rally happening. She thinks calling obama a marzists is racist! Really! I swear, I actually sat through her and that other dildo's show to see the real spin they accuse fox of and somehow being patriotic is racist but portraying the idiot bush as hitler and attacking white people and dangling your penis in public are admirable ways to protest. Critical Theory at it's finest....
Anyway, I decided to cast of the shackles of corporate media censorship and record audio, video and images from the local "tea party" (sorry rachel, teabagging is something you will never appreciate). I expose these racist extremists in all their white ignorant glory (please ignore the minorities in the crowd or it won't seem racist enough).
I used EVERY single picture I took. I have audio of a democrat speaking. Their were more libertarians, constitutionalists and independants than republicans from what I could gather, but the RACIST PATRIOT NAZI's did not fail to disgust me with their flags and lack of violence.
See for your self:
"I went undercover to catch the nazi obama haters in action. Waiting for them to do something white and stupid and boy I didn't have to wait long. They failed to burn or flip over any cars, no blood and not one arrest! Lame protest posers! "~N.C. (aka NoiseCollector)

Drinking w/ Bob:Illegal Immigrants sue American Citizen and Win...

"You're gonna love this story. A rancher in Arizona has a problem with illegal immigration.
What's his problem?
He lives in an area that state and federal authorities like to refer to as an "avenue of choice". What's an avenue of choice? This a place where illegal immigrants like to come over the border. So for years, illegal immigrants have been coming over the border. Trapsing through this guys property. Leaving behind water bottles, clothing, toilet paper, fesces. His animals have been eating this stuff, getting sick and dying.
Finally he got so tired, he put up security cameras. He winds up catching 24 illegal immigrants trespassing on his property. He went out with a gun and his dog. And he held them there till the cops came. The cops came and took them away. Whenever they got done doing whatever it was they did with the freaking cops. They turn around and they sue the guy.
Are you freaking kidding me?!!
Here's the capper to the story... THEY WIN. This guy has to pay them 73 thopusand dollars, for holding them against their will.
Are you freaking kidding me?
When are you people going to get it?
The United States Government is disenfranchising everyone of us.
They're the ones who came up with immigration laws. They're the ones who decided how you get into this country legally and how you get into this country illegally. And when people started coming into this country ILLEGALLY! The United States Government DID NOTHING to stop them!!
Now we're overrun by freaking illegal immigrants. And when we stand up. When we the people stand up and defend ourselves. When we defend OUR property. We wind up paying 73 thousand dollars. Are you freaking kidding me?!!
When are you people going to get it? No Republican or no Democrat is ever going to bring any change to this country!
The Democrats aren't going to do it, because these are the kind of people they cater to. They're giving this country away to anyone who'll put their hand out and agrees to vote for them.
And the Republicans... they're too big a pussies to stop them! Because they're afraid they're going to be called racists if they do!!
Would you people wake up! Would you get it!
The only way we're going to get change in this country is through a freaking Revolution!!!
When are you gonna get it?
73 thousand dollars, for stopping an illegal immigrant from trespassing on YOUR freaking property!!"

"Prairie Fire" in PDF

Little Green Footballs links to the PDF version of B.O.'s associates, “Billy” Ayers’ and Bernardine Dohrn’s 1974 communist declaration of war against the United States.
You cannot appreciate how radically insane and violent it is until you read it for yourself.
Don't miss the dedication to Sirhan Sirhan on page 5!
Also,
Zomblog has obtained a copy of the first issue of Osawatomie, a newspaper published by the Weather Underground, which was written at a time when the Weather Underground was transitioning from terrorism to “working from the inside” for revolution, concerns itself with the need to encourage “organizers” who will work in “communities” and use “audacity” to bring about “socialism” in America.

Extremism
This video, the latest multimedia production from NoiseCollector, is a must-see in these charged political times.
"We stand surrounded by a circle of extremist political and ideological fanatics. Each faction in this circle of madness shares a common goal, destruction of democracy and free market capitalism. They all seek to obtain supreme power over the masses, regardless of what they claim are their intentions. Socialism and communism only differ in their implementation. Fascism is just right wing communism in that both systems wish to nationalize everything. One believes in social Darwinism, one does not. One believes in good and evil and one does not. Religious extremism somehow infiltrates or feigns compatibility with each side of the spectrum from liberal communism to conservative anarchism. Watch at your own risk, I am not crazy."~Digi Hartatak

The Torture Never Stops
Didja ever notice? The guys with the loudest stereos have the worst taste in music.
It pains me to listen to some of that shit.
Water boarding would be more pleasurable.
Music can be torturous.

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
"I'm In The Mood" by Vera Lynn with the Casini Club Orchestra was recorded in October, 1935. This was Vera Lynn's first commercial recording. Lynn was loved by the British because of her selfless efforts entertaining the troops during WWII. She was so popular that a comedian once cracked that the war was was started by her agent.Today, she is best known for her stirring performance of "We'll Meet Again" during the final scene of Dr. Strangelove; after Colonel Kong rodeos the Bomb from a B-52 over the old 'U of SSR', a series of spectacular nuclear explosions appear on the screen against a soundtrack featuring Lynn's beautiful voice.

Glenn Miller: Musician-Patriot
"America means freedom and there's no expression of freedom quite so sincere as music." ~ Glenn Miller
The Krauts weren't the only ones using swing music to propagandize in WWII.
Glenn Miller had been broadcasting propaganda messages to Germany, in the German language, extolling its citizens to stop fighting and help bring the war to a speedy conclusion.
Hitler had declared music illegal, so the Yanks sent it to his people with a German announcer named Ilsa.
Did Miller's contributions to the Allies' quest for victory lead to his mysterious disappearance?
Conspiracy theories abound.
Click here for more Glen Miller results at the Internet Archive.

Karl Schwendler

... aka Charlie and his Orchestra (also referred to as the "Templin band" and "Bruno and His Swinging Tigers") were a German swing band that played Nazi propaganda to England (and north America by way of short wave radio).
The American swing and popular British songs were initially performed true to the original, until about the second or third stanza where pro-German lyrics and monologues would be introduced. The idea was to lure the masses in with the irresistible tonic of swing music and then slyly work in the anti-Jewish, American and British lyrics.
The broadcasts of Charlie and His Orchestra were not available in the Fatherland proper, but that only enhanced their legend, and they picked up an underground following in Germany as well.
Hitler outlawed popular music in Germany and made these popular songs for his enemies who enjoyed these as comedy. Anecdotal accounts indicate that British Prime Minister Winston Churchill enjoyed the broadcasts, finding the lyrics hilarious.

War is Not Pretty
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)
