River Rats Play Longest Game in AHL History!

The Albany River Rats finally fell to the Philadelphia Phantoms in the American Hockey League's longest contest. The Calder Cup playoff game lasted a record 142 minutes, 58 seconds with 5 overtime periods. 5 OT's ?! That's a long time on the ice... and an even longer time in the stands, when they stop selling beer at the start of the 3rd period (in regulation).
In another cup related story, Jimmy links to the Sound Tigers' Locker Room Sale.
