
June 6 is the 75th anniversary of the first drive-in theater , opened in 1933 in Camden, N.J. by Richard M. Hollingshead.
Today through Sunday has been declared "Drive-In Theater Weekend" by the state of New York, which opened its first drive-in theatre in 1938.
